This e-mail may not be off a lot of help, but I can feel your frustration. I
had to buzz my hair to keep from pulling it out when it comes to configuring
network/wireless devices in Mandrake/Mandriva. I've been using
Mandrake/Mandriva part time to full time at home since version 8.2, and
internet config issues have been my personal nightmare. I have even saved
config files when upgrading to help solve my issues, which sometime has worked,
othertimes not. If I weren't so set on using Linux, I may have given up on
occasion. This has been the most frustrating thing for me. In all fairness
though, I believe the difficulty is mostly due to hardware which was never
designed to run under anything but M$. That is changing, albeit slowly.
Don't give up! The good folks on this list will go out of their way to help. I
am convinced it's worth the effort. [8-)

Regards.
