Thanks alot =)
I actually solved it before hand by going into /usr/X11R6/bin, and
deleting anything with X* (very stupid, but i am desperate).
Anyway, when i do the startx (the links are set up nicely now,) i get
the following error:
Fatal server error:
AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0

I tried doing xf86cfg (as root) and it did a few scanlines, then showed
the default background display (pardon my non-ability to name things),
opened a window in what seemed to be twm with images of a box, mouse,
card, blah blah. When i moved my mouse around, it suddenly froze for a
few seconds, and crashed. Then froze my entire machine for about two
minutes, and returned me to the prompt. Before freezing, it showed me a
signal 11 fault, and alot of xkbcomp errors.
Any ideas?
Thanks, again.
