It's a XF86Config problem (or XF86Config-4 depending
on your distro and on the XFree version)
It means that the combination resolution / monitor
/graphic card in that configuration file is not
usable.
you have to check Section "Screen"
If you don't know much about it post your
XF86Config[-4]
