- The system will work fine while using a Terminal...mouse movements in X windows freezes the system at random.
- I've tried KDE, GNOME, and ICE
- I've tested different mouses...serial, PS/2...no difference.
- I've tried REDHat Linux 7.3...no difference.
- I'm am using straight linux binaries (not compiled on my system)
- The system will not freeze if I use XFree86-3.3.6, but I have to use an "unlisted" driver and the FBDev?? Xserver. Because of this, the Chips and Technologies card capabilities/resolutions can't be utilized (which I need). I also have windowing problems with my needed applications using 3.3.6.
- I've reinstalled and reinstalled and reinstalled Mandrake and Redhat...
- I've tried just about every resolution combination.
I've noticed from your site that other people have problems with freezes also...but I haven't seen anything identical to my problem. Any suggestions please???
Thankyou.
