First, Which version of XFree86 are you running?
Also, try to run xf86config, set monitor do a low svga, and card to your chip
type, putting in the ram you need , and server to svga.
Then change defautl to 8bit 16 24 to all 800x600 if you support it, screen NOT
bigger then monitor. If this doesnt help, report what it does, and your XF
version. Play around witht he Horiz Vert Syncs as long as you dont go higher
than what you support, Mystikarc. (This is what I did to get it working on my
setup on other computer
