Hi Sean, I've got the same X/OS setup as you... just upgraded to 4.10 from 4.03...
I'm having problems with screen corruption, that sound sort of like yours. What sort of "goofy color change" are you getting? When I run programs like xatitv, for instance, or a lot of instances of Mozilla I get corrupt cursor icons or font glyphs and especially a strange hatched blue/purple/green pattern overtop images or patterns in windows and web graphics. (Since the upgrade to 4.10 -- I've had screen corruption issues since 3.36 -- my cursor now changes into a 32x32 block of animated static when running xatitv.) The problem subsides in lower colour depths, but, not by much... it sort of delays the inevitable. Anyways, I've got an ATI AIW Pro (Rage Pro chipset, I believe)... a little 8MB card (AGP.) Erik.
