yeah, but when Windows breaks, there isn't squat you can do about it but
reboot, reinstall, and maybe reformat. :)
after trying WinME, in order to play some first-person shooter games; I got
frustrated and am going back to X for games. at least when something doesn't
work, I feel like I have some options to *do* something about it.

Right now I get repeatable framebuffer hangs when using DRI and some games;
but hey, I know that I can:
0. tell the X maintainers, and have a reasonable chance of it being fixed
sometime soon.
1. try the CVS version of X; so as soon as someone comes up with a fix, I
can try it.
2. learn to program video drivers and fix the problem myself. (time
consuming, but very satisfying if I succeeded).
3. buy a copy of Accelerated X; which costs money, but usually has better
support and more features than XFree.

but hey, to each their own. :)
