Anyways...
I installed Xfree86 4.1.0 since it has support for my ATi Radeon and everything went smooth as butter, but when I tried to use the XFree86 -configure command and it pukes up this: Fatal Server Error: Server Error 11 Plus there is a bunch of line above it that looks like it didn't create the right symbolic links to the files. I don't know if you know that Xfree86 4.1.0 moves all the files to a different directory than the past versions... Anyways, at least it boots up in runlevel 3 all the time Well... I tried to do it as you stated... after install is complete, rebooted, then do lizardx... which I did and it froze on me Plus, my driver for the Radeon DOES NOT exsist in the new version of Xfree86...go figure I am on my 7th install this week, and it is really getting on my nerves |
