The problem is that the Xserver has no information about the monitor's capabilities, so to be safe it shuts down. > (II) RADEON(0): PLL parameters: rf=2700 rd=12 min=20000 max=35000; > xclk=23000 > (==) RADEON(0): Using gamma correction (1.0, 1.0, 1.0) > (WW) RADEON(0): Mode 1024x768 is out of range. > Valid mode should be between 640x480-0x0 > (WW) RADEON(0): Mode 800x600 is out of range. > Valid mode should be between 640x480-0x0 > (WW) RADEON(0): Mode 640x480 is out of range. > Valid mode should be between 640x480-0x0 > (WW) RADEON(0): Mode 640x400 is out of range. > Valid mode should be between 640x480-0x0 > (EE) RADEON(0): No valid mode found for this DFP/LCD > (II) UnloadModule: "ati" > (II) UnloadModule: "ddc" > (II) UnloadModule: "vbe" > (II) Unloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libvbe.a > (II) UnloadModule: "i2c" > (II) Unloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libi2c.a > (II) UnloadModule: "ddc" > (II) Unloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libddc.a > (II) UnloadModule: "int10" > (II) Unloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/linux/libint10.a > (II) UnloadModule: "vgahw" > (II) Unloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libvgahw.a > (II) UnloadModule: "radeon" > (II) Unloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/radeon_drv.o > (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. > > Fatal server error: > no screens found > > _______________________________________________ > Newbie mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: > http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie -- Remember, more computing power was thrown away last week than existed in the world in 1982. -- http://www.tom.womack.net/computing/prices.html _______________________________________________ Newbie mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] *** To unsubscribe , or change message options, see: http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/newbie
