Monitors (sold in the US, at least) have a manufacturing month and year
on the tag on the back.  Unfortunately, they don't have horizontal and
vertical sync rates on that tag; that would make this problem disappear.

That looks pretty typical, and safe.  Unless you have some other
documentation on the tube that indicates otherwise, use this.

On the other hand, this looks pretty broad.  150Hz vertical rate would
be a pretty expensive tube.  Where did these numbers come from?  If 1024
X 768 X 75Hz is what you want, then this is fine, since 75 is in the
40-150Hz range.  Or you can cut it down to be safer, say 50-100.  Or
even 70-80, if you don't care to switch modes.

XF86Config?
