The DVI-VGA adapter is the fancy digital interface for LCDs. The other, standard VGA adapter is the one I am trying to use. This is not a problem of frequency, because I have a standard (old) NEC MultiSynch 4FG. I will try the "noaccel" and "CrtScreen" options tonight, see if it works.
