I guess you are right. There is only one XF86Config file i.e. XF86Config
which seems to be for version 3.3.*. Actually I downloaded the Source for
4.1.0 changed the file names xf86PciInfo.h to include my device ID. There
after I run the make World and make install. But it didn't generate the
"XF86Config-4"which I guess is for version 4.1.0. Apparently my install
didn't complain about anything wrong.
Thereafter I download the binaries for version 4.1.0 and may be becoz of
that it says I have version 4.1.0 but still XF86Config-4 file hasn't been
generated.

Do you think I have made any mistake while installing.

One more question After I install the new source how do I know whether it
running the new source or not?
