Dunh . . . I guess that would help. My sister inherited all the brains in my
family, and my bother got all the looks. They didn't
leave me with much . . .

Distro: Suse 6.2 - Six CD's worth of it!

Graphics Card: Cirrus Logic, CL-GD5434. It has 1024 bytes of memory on it.
SuperProbe said it had built in 15/16/24-bit DAC
(whatever that is . . .)

Monitor: 17" Korean Data Systems Color Monitor. KDS VS-7

The computer is an old NEC Ready 9010 (Pentium II) - yeah, I know. I just could
bring myself to throw the darn thing away.
Besides, now I get to meets all sorts of wonderful people who like to share their
Linux expertise.

STARTX (what is that? Another name for X-Windows?) still works, however it is still
in super low resolution. fvwm, fvwm2, susewm
won't load. I get som display error, I assume due to only having the lower resolution.

I am trying to find XF86_SVGA in my directories. Shouldn't the Suse distro come with
this . . . ?

Thanks

Michael
