I have gotten X to work on the HP Pavilion laptop, well, sorta.
After building from the current CVS[1] it can come up -- however
there apprears to be no DGA support enabled and it appears to be
running in an unaccelerated mode[2]
[1] The current CVS tree. X11 would not come up using the 4.2 tree.
I presume the chipset id was diffrent on the newer laptop then
what was in the 4.2 tree.
[2] I say unaccelerated. I have seen S3 video displays before, and
they were not sluggish. The video refreshes and drawing of the screen
is slower then a PII400 laptop from 3 years back.
I would be gratefull for if anyone knows of a solutioin/fix for this.
