Hi,
I'm currently running FreeBSD 4.5. I'm trying to setup XFree86 along with KDE as a desktop manager. When ever I try to enter into the graphic config tool for XFree86 the screen goes blank as expected but then comes up with an off-white screen. At this point the only thing I can do is power down.
I have a PcChip board with onboard SIS620 display driver. My monitor is an AcerView 7111D.
I have tried the text version of the setup and then editing the config file with the edit command.
Also, I'm new to the Unix/Linux environment which isn't making resolution any easier.
Any help would be much appreciated.
