Does "currently running" mean you've been using it happily without X for
a while, or are you just trying to get it installed and configured and
would lose nothing by blowing it away and starting over? The reason I
ask is that FreeBSD 4.5 was released with XFree86 4.1.0 because 4.2.0
was released within the same week.
http://www.xfree86.org/4.2.0/Status30.html#30 says that 4.2.0 supports
the SiS620, but I don't know about 4.1.0.

I'm just thinking that it might be quicker and easier to start over,
install FreeBSD with no X at all, then grab the 4.2.0 binaries kit from
ftp.xfree86.org and install that.

Anybody else know about 4.2.0 and the SiS620?

Remember, more computing power was thrown away last week than existed in
the world in 1982. -- http://www.tom.womack.net/computing/prices.html
