Hello,
I have a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am running FreeBSD 4.4 on a 1Ghz P3 Dell w/ Nvidia TNT2 video card.
XF86 was installed with the system from the current ports tree on the
FreeBSD CVS server.
Configuration of the x server goes fine and I have no problem getting it up
and running bare with no wm. I can run xvidtune and adjust my screen
setting and everything. All windows behave properly.
The problems begin when I try to run a WM with the server. I first tried
with KDE. It would take a while to load up, but wouldn't load all graphics.
The menus would work but they wouldn't go away when I rolled off of them,
and just stack their images on top of each other. Dragging windows would
leave a trail of the window all over the desktop.
After many clean installs of KDE and the system with clean configs and such,
I decided to try Gnome and received similar results.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Dan
