Lo all,
I think someone posted about this before, but as i cannot find it
in the archives, i feel justified in re-posting. Having installed XFree
using the binary installer, and using the Ice windows manager, i find
that i cannot get any sound. I make sure that all the prefs that i can
access through Ice say "sound on," but alas, no sound.
Second problem: in Ice, it seems my prefs do not save between
sessions. When i change my theme and other prefs, when i log in again,
lo, i find that all is as it was after my first install.
Lastly: how does one connect to the internet when booting into pure
console mode? When i log in as >console, i am obviously not connected to
the net, and do not know how to connect. Help? =)
I am running everything, save for in the last instance, through the
console on OS 10.1.3, and logged in as root, on an iMac DV SE 400mhz...
