Hello All,

I am observing strange behaviour, which I had not encountered
earlier. I have been able to configure and run a multihead
setup successfully with my ATI and Matrox VGA cards previously.

This time round [ on a fresh installation ], the introduction of
a second card [Matrox], causes the boot-up to throw a messsage
        from gpm.c which says

        gpm.c (line 978) (oops). /dev/mouse "Device busy"...

I cannot remember the exact string since, the message disappears
during boot-up and is not logged anywhere.

Nevertheless, this is not allowing "X" to come up. This problem
does not occur if only 1 video card exists in the system.

        Setup - Redhat 7.1 Linux
                i386 arch
                Acer 6000
                ATI [ built-in VGA ]
                MAtrox [ Add-on VGA ]

- I never observed such behaviour earlier, but, if someone can shed
some light on this, I will be very grateful and would be able to
get going with my work ASAP.....

- Please do try to let me know .....

- Thank you very much
