Thanx a Lot guys!
Using the vesa driver worked... other solutions
didnt.I mean I coudnt fing 3.3.x version... therewas
no Xfree86 executable anywhere. I also tried
installing the _SVGA package but its name was
XF86_SVGA and not XFree86_SVGA anyway that guy didnt
work either.... actually it turned off the monitor...
the monitor did come back after I blindly shut the
XServer (without logging out).
Here the most interesting fact that I didnt mention
last itime(out of ssounding stupid) is that matter of
fact once when I had RH7.2 I could configure it!!!(may
be at that time I had X point to 3.3.x .. I dont
remember!! but after reinstalling(7.2 only) it didnt
configure with the same options(all the three ways
were tried...Xconfigurator,XFree86 -configure, edting
the config file manually). There are only 2 things
that I can think of as having caused this.
-> as I said I might have X pointing to 3.3.x at
first(cause I was going through man pages and trying
different stuff) and second time the 4.x (this part I
am sure I didnt relocate X)
-> OK the first time I configured... the winmoden was
not plugged in the pci slot... and the second time it
was.... that could be causing a ....errrr....problem??

Again thanx a lot...I got a temporary solution now...
I also want to try and debugg the problem my self...
but strange!!! the RH ppl dont budle the source of X
with the package!!!!well I will download it :) I dont
think the config files would be any help but here they
are.
