I've found no problems witrh the split way tool. Are you sure you dont have two ways on the affected node (one way underneath the other). If you have a three button mouse, the middle click over the node, and it will bring up a dialog listing the ways on theta node. David > > I also see inconsistent behavior on adding to a way.
