Yes: There is a tag maxspeed=nn where nn is speed limit in Km/Hr ie 30mph==48 > 2.House names, this is a big thing for me, I work as a courier and house > names are a nightmare, google maps are wildly inaccurate and I can only > assume someone with a house name on a dart throws it and when it arrive in > the general area google then decides to publish that house name on the web! As already said, this can be saved into the db but getting it back out depends on software. It _is_ possible to customize the renderers to display what _you_ want, on a home basis, but getting it to your mobile device may be trickier. You likely want to use OSM maps to get up-to-date maps, and keep POI's to navigate to? > 3.Speed limits, Should i add an extra tag for speed limits on roads? as 1).. > 4.number of lanes, now, i've noticed there doesn't really seem to be many > roads stating the number of lanes, but i'll happily add them in on > motorways/dual carrigeways/urban clearways on roads i know. There is a lane tag. And a width tag. Not universally used, but eminently usable > 5.Postcodes, What about postcodes? from what I can tell we're not allowed to > save postcodes? (sat > nav's in all) We're allowed to save them but the OSM format doesn't really cater to them, so a separate project exists at freethepostcode > 6.Speed bumps, now this may sound silly, but is it worth mentioning in a tag > that a road includes speed bumps?
