I know i can't just take them off the satnav, but since i use the satnav with
my job, and navigate to streets via postcode (when they are correct) can I add
them once i'm at a street if it makes any sense? the problem I have with free
the postcode is that I deliver to a lot of rural area's, and the locations are
wildly inacurate, the problem being postcodes cover such large areas, if I can
mark down the roads which these postcodes cover they could actually be useful,
in this regard sat nav's re totally useless as i'm often a mile or so away from
my intended destination.
Thanks for all the replies guys :) wasn't expecting such quick responses, also
my questions have been answered, but is there a page someware that states the
terms I should use?, as i've noticed i'm getting different replies on how to do
the same thing, and regarding the lanes issue, to me 3 lanes would dictate 3
drivable lanes not the hardshoulder, if this data was used in the future for
navigation, it would confuse software, especially on junctions which it could
potientially tell you the correct lane to be, it would be telling you to use
the hard shoulder all the time, in my opinion
I shall have to read through all these and make up a little file with all the
