Recent versions of josm now include highway=path as a preset, but osm mapnik does not render this. osmarender is ok.
The string "path" does not occur in http://trac.openstreetmap.org/browser/applications/rendering/mapnik/osm.xml I was denied access to the slippy_map trac so I could not see if this has already been reported for mapnik. My expectation is that josm would only include "standard" presets that mapnik and osmarender support. Should I now edit the ways I have marked as "path" (with foot=yes) as footway?
