Depends.. The JOSM developers might have implemented an approved feature before the mapnik guys implemented it. Check the wiki and see if it's really approved, then you can continue mapping and mapnik will catch up. Plus, it takes up to a week sometimes for changes to appear in the online OSM map (mapnik side).
