The OSM Mapnik background is nice. Pressing F4 also switches to this background. With thin lines I can make them out, but the existing ways obscure the street names. Pressing capslock does not seem to do anything. Are you sure this is correct? I checked through the wiki and I cannot find a listing of all the hotkeys, and the pages I looked through didn't seem mention a foreground-dimmer or a capslock type function. It looks like holding space and a left-click-drag will let me offset the background enough to see what's what, but this is obviously imperfect. I have a really hard time moving the offset just a tiny little bit.. maybe my mouse tracking isn't fine enough. > Potlatch 2.0 will show street names on drawn ways, assuming they're > long enough to fit the name in. That will be very cool. I wanted to use the Java version, because it looked like I could do much finer detailed work. I'm interested in working on an area which has nothing but a city name.. but maybe the flash version will do the trick. _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/newbies
