Ed asked "what is it that you do see? Does any of the site appear - with just the map missing, or "more OSM coming
soon tiles" or something? Or does the site not load at all." Hi Ed - I see the left column ok that describes OSM and mentions the blog, SOTM etc but the map window is blank although the tabs "view through to user diaries" shows up as does the zoom bar, distance scale and little plus sign at top right with "Permalink" bottom right. When I log in the same process with the message at the bottom left of the screen (see below). When I hit "home" the red arrow appears in the centre there is a different message at the bottom left of screen (see below) but the map screen is still blank. However, sometimes I get the little tiles ".more OSM coming soon" against the OSM logo/brand background. The message at the bottom left of the screen starts off by trying to connect to all three tile sites as well as mirror sites(?) at "a (etc).andy.sandbox.cloudmade.com" and also tries reading from the OSM site - then just says "done". The message when the red arrow pointing home appears has the OSM site followed by "/#" - doesn't seem to move from this message to anything else quickly but given lots of minutes seems to go to the same mirror site. I recall some weeks ago the little message at the bottom left indicated that 80 (somethings) were to download and that number reduced until "done" appeared but no map. I go straight to the URL. I also tried going to the link Ed suggested (http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=51.8314 <http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=51.8314&lon=1.1588&zoom=12> &lon=1.1588&zoom=12) but no different response to that above. I have tried zooming in and out when the "more OSM coming soon" tiles appear but all it does is make those particular tiles larger or smaller. However, after leaving that particular screen "loading" for 10 minutes or so parts of a map start appearing. However, I have just tried again and the "more osm" tiles did not get replaced by maps -"done" appears at the bottom left. Arlindo suggested a Linux test but that is beyond me I'm afraid. As I am getting some images and can access the OSM mainpage etc I now no longer think that it is me and what I've done playing around with Firefox add-ins etc (phew!). However, as I appear to be on my own I may have done (or not) something quite simple?? Thanks - I am getting close to giving up (and boring you all with my problems). Dan
