We're just being loose about the word "split". I assume Pieren meant it to mean the two ways are still connected at one node, but Dave F interpreted it as the two ways being entirely separate. (When I talked about splitting the way where a fence crosses it, I did mean the two ways being entirely separate. If there's no way to cross the fence, there's no need to route across it.) > I found it rather interesting to note that in the UK, property owners > have to assert the right of ownership on their lands, otherwise the > public can wander about it at will. Dunno, I hear* that in parts of the US, property owners have to post "no trespassing signs" on unimproved land if they don't want the public on it. (Improved land, including driveways, is considered automatically posted.) Off-topic anyway. Steve * From people who like to stealth camp a lot in forests there, and debate where it's legal to camp. _______________________________________________ newbies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/newbies
