Comparing choker with chicane, I think what I really have is an elongated chicane. There are two of these, about 300m apart, one on each side of the road, similar to the picture on the Wikipedia article en:Chicane. I believe choker is meant for places where the left and right kerbs both intrude at the same place, and do not go the whole way across a lane. -- Nicholas.
