I think based on this response (which didn't go to the list), we have simple answer to render Jewish cemeteries.
I'm looking for the reference Marianne makes about the L- what it stands for and coming up short. So here's the plan (and I'm open to discussion from more experienced OSMers on the right way to handle this, and if I don't hear any I'll just move forward). 1) Find an icon we can use that's generic and yet meaningful for non-specified graves. 2) Write up a change on the wiki and point it out to the tagging list regarding specifying religion in the cemetery and grave site areas. 3) Make two tickets in trac- one for the generic gravesite, and one for the new religion-specific tagging. - Serge ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: <[email protected]> Date: Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 4:22 AM Subject: Re: [OSM-newbies] OSM To: [email protected] Hi, thanks for your reply! In topografical maps (paper) you find for jewish cemeteries a group of L L L L instead of crosses. This is the usual way to draw jewish cemeteries. Thanks for your help.
