I think what Wade is getting at here is most likely when you put in your winders CD, it will allow you to format the entire disk. But, as was pointed out earlier, fdisk is easy enough though it may not be necessary. I usually just let the Linux installers nuke winders, I mean in your case, the winders installer nuke Linux...
boot into rescue mode. then at the command prompt type in:
fdisk /dev/hda
this will bring you to a command prompt.
delete all of your partitions and then write it to the partition table (? should show you how to do all of this)
Then install windows
