Fedora, Mandrake, and SuSE are all fairly similar. If you really want to learn about the range of distributions of Linux, I suggest installing Fedora, Debian, and Gentoo. Then you'll get the gamut of the most popular Linux distributions. Once you're comfortable with Linux, nuke the Fedora and Debian installations and install FreeBSD and Solaris/x86.
