Linuxant wants me to install the 2.6.7 kernel. I am running a mandrake kernel (2.6.3-7mdk). Do I have to install the 2.6.0 kernel first or can I apply the 2.6.7 patch to my mandrake kernel?
What are the steps to installing and compiling a kernel? Where do I unzip my file to? What precautions can I take to make sure I can boot my old kernel too?
