Is there any way I can install Fedora without having to partition my hard disk again? I already have SuSe (and a Windows partition).

Why are you dumping Suse? My impression of Fedora Core 2 was that it was major bloatware and somewhat rough edged. I'd also heard SuSe was better, so I'm about to install it. Your answer may affect my decision. I'm about to buy an Athlon 64 3000+, anybody know what I need to do in this install to get the optimal system? Will it discover this automatically? My evaluation DVD's include Suse pro 8.2 and 9.1. Which version should I install?

If you want to make the most of your new 64-bit processor, you probably want to get an amd64 version of Linux on there. I'm pretty sure your current DVD's for Suse don't have amd64 binaries on there...but maybe they do. The nifty thing about the amd64, or x86_64, architecture, is that you can use good old 32-bit x86 binaries and they will still scream (speed wise), so you can install your Suse 8.2 or 9.1 and it'll work fine, if you want.
