Madrake, I mean, Mandriva (recent name change) is great for newbies,
as well as more experienced users.  Suse seems ok for the inexperience
also, but it seems to be very business oriented.  Ubuntu is another
that is aiming to be good for newbies.  I tried it and Mandrake is
still better, though Ubuntu has a lot of good help on the web and is
very up-and-coming.

Tried it once, but it's not _really_ Linux ;-)
