Back in April, we hosted the fourth edition of our research conference The Impacts of Civic Technology Conference (TICTeC) <http://tictec.mysociety.org/> in Lisbon, Portugal. We were thrilled to bring together 150 leaders in the field from 29 countries to take stock of the civic technology research landscape and to discuss what works and what doesn’t when it comes to using technology for social good. 62 speakers from 19 countries covered topics such as: responsible technology <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/responsible-technology-new-normal>; accountability keywords <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/political-construction-of-accountability-keywords>; blockchain <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/blockchain-civic-change-can-it-deliver>; fact-checking <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/cofact-factchecking>; service delivery <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/results-provision>; bridging the civic tech research divide <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/research-divide>; working with governments <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/government-collaboration-two>; impact measurement <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/problem-impact-measurement>; open contracting <http://tictec.mysociety.org/2018/presentation/open-contracting>; amongst many, many others.
