I got an answer from Sun a few days ago, after my escalation of the case. Basically, Red Hat refused flat out to do anything about it themselves. They'll wait until someone else implement it in the Linux kernel. And Sun didn't seem too eager to do the work. So, in a nutshell, it won't work in any predictable timeframe.
That, combined to the fact that ZFS also doesn't support properly Windows ACLs using Samba, makes it quite difficult to deploy as a serious file server today. It's disappointing :-/ Laurent This message posted from opensolaris.org
