Yes, please. I'd be very interested in your code. And do I understand you right, that you are tending to let NH do consistency stuff (like setting the update time or ID) then the database directly? I my opinion, this is all stuff the database should do on the deepes level, because there might be other programs changing entities then just the application using NH - e.g. Management Studion, Excel, etc. Isn't there a way NH could handle this sort of approach?
