After reading the NH-1685 on JIRA Gustavo referend to, I tried setting the default value of property UpdateUtc = new DateTime( 0 ); (= 01.01.0001) instead of the current time. It now works as expected.

I'm not planing other apps to update the database, but it still can happen (and not only by accident), since those are tools that allow it. And if the database does update the timestamp field, changes will be notices.
