so it's now:
session.QueryOver<obj>()
...
.Select(Projections.RowCount())
.SingleOrDefault<int>();

That looks right. There's always a chance something was missed though - let me
know if you find something that can be done in ICriteria but not in QueryOver.

I tried using QueryOver as a temporary compromise but I couldn't find
a way to get the count(), which makes it useless for paged search
results. Did I miss that somehow?
And still, I would like to know more about what the plans are for
eager fetching with the new linq provider.
