Always have ridden Hondas, from the first step-thru 50s on up. Paid for them myself and for most of my life,either my Honda or my bicycle was my transportation everywhere. First "iron butt" ride was from Tempe, Az. to Seattle, Wa. on my 160. It was cold in north Idaho and Montana up in the mountains in the spring after having left hot Arizona... Insurance wasn't mandatory, but I had it, for $30 a year. Honda always was reliable, no problems, very little maintenance, and used little gas. I did have to adjust the tappets back then, but that wasn't hard at all. Now, I finally have that 450 I've always wanted. When I get some time for it, I will take some pix... Have tested the 450 but not put it on the road yet. It looks like the caliper is sticking so I will be taking that apart and cleaning it up. Anyone have a Honda manual for the 450? It's an '83.
