you denigate your greatgrandfather's legacy when you pay homage to the very symbol of that slavery you claim to be so "forward thinking people" about. find a quite, comfortable place and sit quitely so you can think this through. If you honest and truly know what the political situation was in the time before the Civil War you can only come to the realization that the confederate flag is nothing more than the banner for that slavery.
