I would be so very grateful if anyone can help me brainstorm why I am
blowing ignition coils on my 1980 CB400t. It started last summer with
an ever weakening spark. It got to the point it would only spark for
20 seconds and then be completely dead. I replaced the stator, with no
effect, then a new coil from honda and it worked great for maybe 4
hours of run time.... (over 5 months) and today, the thing suddenly
stopped. No spark or a very feeble spark. When I put an analog meter
on the incoming wire to the coil, it pulses (can't really read it).
Thats what it did before, and the new coil fixed it.

Is something ruining my coils? At $130, its kinda spendy for 4 hours
of run time.

Any advise is appreciated!

Thanks!
