There is nothing intrinsically wrong with changing back and forth or even 
mixing, but if you are using a synthetic extended drain interval oil, and want 
to enjoy the benefits of the oil's longevity, then don't mix and don't change 
back and forth.

I've heard if you use synthetic you can't go back to standard oil
