Thanks Dennis. I won't have a chance to test this specifically until I get back up north for the weekend, but I believe it should be alright. The bike is driveable, and when the brake is applied it does release without issue. My problem is mostly that it engages far too quickly and feels very tight to pull.
As for the clutch, it doesn't grab until about halfway released, at which point the difference between fully disengaged and fully engaged is maybe 1-2cm of the total throw of the lever. Then the rest of the release, nearly the entire second half, it is already fully engaged. The lever itself feels a bit sticky too, though I'm guessing that may just need some grease at the hinge?
