thx for the assistance i know will be forthcoming, as to piccys, i have loads already, i have decided already that this is going to be long job, stripping it down to the frame, which itself is bubbling and rusting in places, but i have access to sand and bead blast equip, so shouldn't be to much work.....lol, anyway, which bits wold you like photo's of, bike got 28k on it. Is it advisable to buy the headgasket seperatly or just bite the bullet and purchase the 'gasket set A' (entire top end)? seen it advertised on the web for anywhere between £50 - $170 depends where you go. It's definitly the gasket thats blown, with a torch you can see it both sides of the head, talking to the previous owner, he said it started leaking on the right, he kept it on the road for another 5months , then the other side started leaking so he decided to get it done, then on the way to the mechanics, her dropped it at about 20 mph, hence the damage.
