What year is your bike?  If it's an older Nighthawk, it's possible
that long of a ride might not have been enough. I am not a mechanic,
but from what I have heard here and from my mechanic the charging
systems on the older Nighthawks are weak. Someone on here should be
able to say for sure.  How old is your current battery?  I would put
the battery on a charger and fully charge it. See how it performs for
a few days before going out and getting a new battery.  But if your
battery is really old, may be a good opportunity to just replace it.
