I had these jets soaking for a couple of days in cleaner. Seems most idles jets on a 1983-85 CB650SC I have cleaned were small - only the smallest wire I have would pass through.

Are you sure that the 3 "small" ones are completely clean? I saw the same thing you describe on a set of Keihin kawi carbs I cleaned a few weeks back. Turns out the "small" ones were just partly clogged. I soaked them in some B12 which loosened the gunk up enough to get a wire through.

Someone may have drilled the "big" one out, too.

Sorry to not answer the question you asked. :)

I've been cleaning the carbs off a Nighthawk 650. I can't tell what year, but it's 1983 -1985. Problem is when cleaning the slow speed jets, the opening in one jet was much larger than the other three. All 4 jets have 35 stamped on them but the openings vary. Anyone know what is the correct opening size? I have wires that are very precise, Graham
