I tried that. Granted there are some fancy motorcycle tripods that you can buy, which I didn't, but just trying to mount my digital camera this way or that I found that it shook too much. With the other camera mounted to my helmet it shakes less. I guess my neck is a natural stabilization device. Also being waterproof and shock proof helps. I'd hate to think what would happen to my digital camera if a bug hit it at 70mph. I still haven't given up on finding a way to mount it to the bike tho. One can never have too many cameras.
