You have received a lot of input here, and  in my statement, made in haste, I
did not include all of the other stuff.  I assumed, of course, that you use
your
jeep on the road only.  If you are in heavy snow a lot, even "snow tires" won't
be that good, and you would need chains.  I lived in Seattle, and for light
snow, if it has a moderately designed tread for "all terrain" it should handle
light stuff.  If you are handling mostly light to medium snow, even with
hills, maybe all terrain is good, but still, I would personally feel safer with
chains as well, if I have to be out in the snow.

All terrain or off road are loud tires.  All terrain are even loud on bicycles,
for that matter.  But now they do make a tire designed for both and it isn't as
loud and doesn't cause as much vibration; only it is not as good as one
specifically designed for dirt.
And even though Dunlops come standard on Hondas (used to; do they still?), you
see they are a stickier compound, because you only have two wheels.  That's why
they wear out faster.  Cars are on four feet, not two, and have a lot more
stability and traction.
In Utah, a lot of people have two sets of tires - one for winter and the snow,
and one for the other three seasons.  I know, I bought an old Caddy while there
and he gave me both sets.  And it really snows during the winter.
Dennis, if I remember correctly, uses Avons on his bikes.  And maybe Paul also?
BTW that is a fine looking nekkid wing you have there for sale.  How high is it
from the ground to the seat?  Would someone with a 29 inseam be able to handle
it without leaning too much or being on tippy toes?
If the answers to the above are in the positive, how much does that make offer
have to be,  because I or a riding buddy may be interested.

And Angela, keep in mind that my information is somewhat dated, as I haven't
been up there in the show for some time now.  I do know that the new all
terrain
are quieter and smoother than the older ones back when I used them.  Computer
designed treads, don'tcha know...

I have road tires on my tacoma and it's definitely better on pavement and in

the snow traction questions ;)
